Atyrau oil workers stand for holding referendum on President's terms extension

ATYRAU. January 20. KAZINFORM /Andrei Sokolov/ Accepting an appeal in support of a referendum on extension of powers of President Nursultan Nazarbayev till 2020, the oldest oil producing company in Kazakhstan EmbaMunayGas has backed establishment of the National coalition of democratic forces.
At a forum oil-industry workers outlined that success reached in the oil sector, Atyrau region and Kazakhstan is associated with the name of the Head of State.
Last year our country produced about 80 million tons of oil. Extractive industry is developing, exploration received a new impetus.
In 2011 the volume of financing in the geologic exploration has significantly increased. Working conditions of the oil-industry workers improved, a wage increased last year. New schools, hospitals, fitness centers are under construction in oil regions.
The gathered adopted the appeal in which they support holding the referendum on extension of President N.Nazarbayev's powers till 2020.
