Astana welcomes national team of DPRK

ASTANA. January 27. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ A welcoming ceremony of the national team of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea who arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan for participation in the 7th Asian Games has been held in an ice town of Astana city.
A delegation of North Korea is represented by 55 people: 29 sportsmen, 4 figure skaters, women's national hockey team and 7 athletes who will take part in short-track competitions.
Vice President of the Organizing Committee of the Asian Games Serik Kulmurzayev welcomed the guests heartily.
During the ceremony the flag was raised and the gathered listened to an anthem of Korea. The event ended with an exchange of gifts.
