Astana to stage military parade to mark 16th anniversary of Constitution and 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence

ASTANA. August 30. KAZINFORM The country marks today the16th anniversary of Constitution. One of the main state holidays of Kazakhstan is marked the countrywide.
Today, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is expected to review the military parade dated to the Constitution Day and 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence in Astana at the Kazakh Yeli Monument.This monument was unveiled in 2008 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Astana city. Its central element, stele, is 91 m long that specifies the year when Kazakhstan gained its independence and symbolizes its sovereignty.
More than 2,500 military men, 250 weapons and military equipment will pass during the military parade.This year, the organizers have prepared a lot of surprises and a large-scale show.
