Astana to host forum of World Petroleum Council

CALGARY. October 26. KAZINFORM In 2017 in the framework of the EXPO-2017 International Exhibition, Astana to host a specialized forum of the World Petroleum Council (WPC) titled 'The leaders of the oil and gas industry'. This decision was made by the World Petroleum Council on the results of the next meeting, which took place last Wednesday, correspondent of Trend reported from the Canadian city of Calgary.
Forum 'The leaders of the oil and gas industry' will logically fit into the topic of Astana EXPO-2017, which will focus on the development of the green economy.
This decision was taken after a speech of the Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas Uzakbai Karabalin about current priorities and strategies for the development of Kazakhstan's energy sector over the next decade, Kazinform refers to trend.az.
As is known, Kazakhstan took a course on the development of the green economy, which assumes development of alternative energy sources, along with traditional energy sources with the impact on the environment to the level of "green".
