Such festival will be organized for the third time in the capital city. Established for the 10th anniversary of Astana the festival of Turkic songs aroused great furor among the amateurs of music art following which it was decided to hold the event annually.

According to organizers, the interest to the folklore festival rose due to the fact that the unique culture of the Great Steppe songs had not been supported for many years. Organized in Kazakhstan "Astana-Arkau" Turkic Music Festival gave a new impetus for the revival of Turkic songs in Kazakhstan.

The concert will bring together the masters of art who will perform music of almost all Turkic speaking nations. The audience will enjoy various genres of music which are highly appreciated and admired by the Western and Eastern nations - shamanic chants, virtuoso songs for khomus (shan-kobyz - national instrument), throat signing, epic and instrumental compositions, songs by the peoples of Central Asia, Transcaucasia, Volga region and Siberia.

The opening of the Festival will be held July 3 at the K. Baisseitova National Opera and Ballet Theatre and will be closed on July 5.
