Astana to hold large-scale cultural events devoted to Year of People’s Assembly

This year the organization celebrates its 20th anniversary. For visitors and residents of Astana the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan has prepared many exciting activities involving ethno-cultural associations of the city. Grand opening of the anniversary year will be held on February 6 at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. During the year, metropolitan museums and palaces of culture will hold several ethno-festivals, patriotic parties, as well as thematic exhibitions. Festivals and gala concerts will be carried out under the slogan ‘preserving peace and tolerance in Kazakhstan'. Metropolitan schoolchildren will have lessons of peace and harmony, children's art contests and competitions on knowledge of the state language. In addition, schools and colleges of the city will host Days of cultural associations. This year's celebration of the Day of Astana will be carried out under the motto "Astana - the city of peace and accord". Recall that in the capital of our country live more than 100 ethnic groups.
