Astana's bid to host EXPO 2017 presented in Zagreb

ASTANA. October 18. KAZINFORM As part of activities on promotion of Astana's bid to host EXPO 2017, a delegation from Kazakhstan headed by executive secretary of Foreign Minister, EXPO 2017 National Coordinator Rapil Zhoshybayev visited Croatia on October 17-18, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.
The Kazakh diplomats met with Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Josko Klisovic in Zagreb. The sides discussed bilateral relations. Croatia reaffirmed invitation to President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to visit Zagreb for an official visit. The sides noted the need to establish Kazakh-Croatian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, as well as expand the legal framework. Therefore, R.Zhoshybayev invited J.Klisovic to visit Kazakhstan for consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The Croatian minister expressed its support for the initiatives of Kazakhstan and said Croatia would seriously consider the candidacy of Astana for the exhibition EXPO-2017.
