Astana proved its 'city of world' title

ANA. July 2. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ - Today in Astana the official closing ceremony of the III Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions took place with participation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. «Ten years ago the UNESCO named Astana as the winner of the international competition "City for Peace". All these years our city has been bearing this high title, and now having gathered today's high religious guests it has proved its status again.
The discussion has manifested that all religious leaders who have gathered here at the congress are ready and interested to conduct a dialogue.
The congress was held in one of the blessed Muslim months - Rajab. This is the time when God extends his grace to people, and incites them for noble deeds. Therefore the decisions made by you here in the Kazakh land are blessed and godly.
We are not bidding farewell, we are going to meet again here in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana», President Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
