Astana Piano Passion laureates to perform together with Denis Matsuev

ASTANA. KAZINFORM The annual international music festival Stars on Baikal kicked off in Irkutsk.
Young pianists, winners of the Astana Piano Passion competition Alexandru Cadmiel Botac of Romania and Shio Okui of Japan will perform there together with Denis Matsuev and other well-known Russian musicians. The winners of the international contest of young pianists held in Astana were awarded not only USD 60,000 prize money but also were afforded an opportunity to appear before the footlights along with the world famous classical musicians. A month ago Botac returned from France where he took part in the Annecy Classic international music festival. Besides, Astana is getting ready for the third Astana Piano Passion international competition. Next spring Astana will once again greet gifted children from around the globe.
