Astana-Paris direct flight considered

ASTANA. May 3. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Kazakhstan and France are considering the issue of opening direct flights between Astana and Paris.
According to Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications, more than 5,000 French tourists visit Kazakhstan and about 15,000 Kazakhstanis visit France annually. A stumbling block in this issue was the operating restrictions imposed on Air Astana by the European Union.
Thierry Mariani, French Secretary of State for Transport, who is taking part in the IV Astana Economic Forum, noted that France was ready to consider this problem.
