«Astana Opera» will present 4 days of high culture to Astana residents & guests

On October 21, the new season of “Astana Opera” theatre will be opened with a premiere of “Attila” by Verdi. Within the framework of the world premiere there will be a unique exposition of showpieces from the times of the first performance of “Attila” opera (1846) presented by “La Fenice” theatre (Venice). Bolshoy Theatre of Russia (Moscow) will present showpieces of the past century, including costumes of famous figures in opera and ballet world.

On October 22, there will be a gala concert with the participation of classic music stars: Elena Obraztsova, Denis Matsuev, Sergey Nakaryakov, Ildar Abdrazakov, Anna Markarova, Sergey Krylov, Olga Peretyatko, Maira Kerei, Medet Chotabaev, Alfiya Karimova, Abzal Muhitdinov and others. On the same day there will be an international conference “Opera in XXI century” involving famous musical critics Franco Soda (Spain), Richard Martet (France), Thomas Migge (Germany) and others.

On October 23, there is a show of “Attila” opera by Verdi. Marco Boeni will be a conductor. It is staged by Pier Luigi Pizzi (Teatro dell Opera di Roma, Italy), performers of mail parts - Ildar Abdrazakov, Anna Markarova (Mariinsky theatre, St. Petersburg).

And finally, on October 24, “Astana Opera” will host a grandiose gala concert “Birth of a theatre”. Theatrical show with the use of video effects will transfer the spectator to the start of the world creation, and then bring back to modern times. Spectators will familiarize with masterpieces of the world musical theatre born in a new form. Along with world-renowned classic compositions, musical will sound which has never been performed in Kazakhstan. The program of the evening also includes compositions from national repertoire.
