Astana Mayor, WHO Regional Director discussed improvement of quality of medical services

The city administration carries out a range of activities both to improve the quality of medical services and create favorable environment for people's health. Being members of "Healthy Cities" network, all departments of the akimat pay special attention to the norms and objectives on creation of a health-oriented infrastructure in the city. "The General Plan of Astana is the key document regulating the development of all sectoral and infrastructural programs. Ecology and health issues are among the priorities of the Plan. Suffice to say that in accordance with the Plan, about 53% of the city territory is planned to be planted with trees and bushes," A.Dzhaksybekov noted. At the meeting, A.Dzhaksybekov and Z.Jakab addressed the issues of cooperation aimed at the improvement of quality of medical services.
