Astana is the winner of the international contest in the nomination “City where you want to live”-2013

The contest commission evaluated highly the development of the Kazakh capital according to such criteria as creation of favorable ecological environment, comfort living conditions for citizens, in particular flower decoration of city objects. This list also includes support of the Green belt around Astana, complex innovative development of transport system of the city, realization of such projects as light rail transport, speed bus transportations, and introduction of the intellectual transport system.

The parade contest city practices has been held since 2008at the initiative of the International Assembly of capitals and major cities supported by the CIS Executive Committee, Integration committee of the Eurasian Economical Association (EurAsEC), Russian Council of local government. There was a landmark debut of a complex project of the International Assembly of capitals and major cities, the First international forum “Metropolis: XXI century”.
