Astana hosts Kazakhstan Chess Championship among teens

Each year the championship finds new talents who can honorably represent Kazakhstan at the most prestigious international tournaments. All members of the women's chess national team, namely Guliskhan Nakhbayeva, Gulmira Dauletova, Dinara Saduakasova, Madina Davletbayeva and Zhansaya Abdumalik, had lived up to our expectations and took the 7^th spot at the recent 2013 Women's World Chess Championship in Astana.

This year's championship brought together about 400 young chess players from all corners of the country.

According to the organizers, the popularity of the championship grows annually and the number of participants has increased threefold since the first tournament.
