Astana hosts glamour Tulip Ball

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - On Saturday, the Astana Tulip Ball has become one of the highlights of the Kazakh capital's social life.
The hall of Radisson Hotel Astana where the lavish event took place was turned into a large ballroom. The ball's opening ceremony featured a musical program with soloists of the Astana Philharmonic Hall. 48 debutants aged 18 to 29 were lead into the festivities with a traditional waltz.
The aim of the ball is to make classic ball culture more popular among youngsters of Kazakhstan. More than 700 young people went through the most rigorous casting and a two-month training to get to the ball. Funds raised at the ball will be allocated for social needs, according to the organizers of the event.
The ball generated intense public interest as it brought together many residents and guests of Astana city.
