Astana hosts 1st meeting of Kazakh-Malaysian Working Group

ASTANA. August 26. KAZINFORM — Today Astana has hosted the first meeting of the Kazakh-Malaysian Working Group on Higher Education.
The parties discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education, the possibility of equivalent exchange of students, issues of mutual recognition of qualifications and the like.
Malaysian delegation involved Haji Nasir Bin Mat Dam, Deputy Secretary General for Development of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education of Malaysia. Kazakh delegation included the senior officials of the Ministry of Education and Science as well as representatives of leading universities.
Haji Nasir Bin Mat Dam noted in his speech that the event will further strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership between the two states in the field of education, and such negotiations will take place on a regular basis every 2 years.
