Astana discusses problems of ethnodemography

Chair of the National Commission on Women's and Family Affairs, Minister of Labor and  Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information Zhanna Kurmanaliyeva, Chair of the National Women's Council Nelli Kayupova and other officials are taking part in it.

"Having gained independence, our country faced many social challenges like development of a package of measures on demographic development, achievement and preservation of inter-ethnic accord", G. Abdykalikova said.

The demographic situation in the country has direct influence upon economic growth, ensuring defense potential of the country and state security.

"Demographic policy is one of priorities outlined by the Head of the State in Kazakhstan-2030 Strategy", the Minister stressed.
