Astana celebrates Victory Day

ASTANA. May 9. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The capital city of Kazakhstan is celebrating the Victory Day today.
The celebrations devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will begin at 9 am by a civic procession starting from "Kazakh eli" monument square along Tauelsizdik Avenue to the monument of Fatherland Defenders.
A tent camp where traditional soldier's porridge is cocked will be set up near the monument. A concert of brass bands and folk dance and song bands will be held here as well. Such concerts will be held at the city squares, near "Baiterek" monument and the central park as well.
The celebration will be closed by grand firework on the bank of Esil River at 10 pm.
