Astana became key economic region of Kazakhstan - Head of the State

ANA. July 6. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Today Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev is taking part in the festive events dedicated to celebration of Astana's birthday.
"11 years are only a moment for history, but over this period our capital has turned into a key economic region both of Kazakhstan and Central Asia", the President said at "Astana - music of life" concert at the square near Kazakh Yeli monument.
"Since 1998 the country's GDP has grown from 1.5% up to 10%. The volume of the gross regional product has been increased 17 times", N. Nazarbayev added.
