'Astana Ballet' to give solo concert in St Petersburg
Strong partner relations are established between the two metropolises. Thus, last November Astana held the Culture days of Saint Petersburg, when residents and guests of the Astana city could plunge into the world of the Russian culture. Now it is the turn of our capital to show the culture of Kazakhstan to Russian audience.
On May 17, the ensemble will perform at a gala concert together with Kazakhstani stars, and on May 18, they will present a solo concert demonstrating 14 inimitable dance performances to the audience. "At the moment "Astana Ballet" ensemble is preparing to go to Saint Petersburg on tour, where 2 concerts will be held. The gala concert will be on May 17; and on May 18, we will give our solo concert in the legendary theatre of Saint Petersburg - Mikhailovsky theatre. This is very important for us, and we are really glad; every concert is significant for us, independently from the stage, but in this case we have double responsibility. We hope that the concerts will be held successfully, for the whole team is very serious about this tour and each of the numbers, we have a very interesting program consisting of 17 performances. The concert is opened by "Akkular" dance to music by E. Khusainov, then on May 17 there is a concert of our Kazakhstani stars, and the concert is opened by a Kazakh performance "Arular sheruy" by "Turan" ethno-folk group; then there is "Karlygash" performance to music by Karl Jenkins, and "Kyz Zhibek" to music by E. Brusilovsky arranged by Rinat Salavatov. We are looking forward to this trip, and we are sure that everything will be all right", Alila Alisheva, art director of "Astana Ballet" choreographic team, told astana.kz.
It's worth noting that at the solo concert spectators will see a program in different genres: there will be all styles, from neoclassic to contemporary choreography.
Note that in September "Astana Ballet" will turn 2 years. However, they've mastered almost all dance genres. In addition to Kazakh national dances, performers have learnt Hindu, Japanese, Chinese and other dances. Moreover, the dances are staged on professional level, rich costumes and variety of ideas amuse the spectator. The group includes the best graduates of Almaty Choreography School after Seleznev.
Note that during Astana culture days in Saint Petersburg residents and guests of the Russian city can familiarize with arts and crafts of the Kazakhs, see master classes of craftsmen, and become spectators of the gala concert of masters of art of Kazakhstan, and a classic music concert with the participation of the state chamber orchestra "Academy of soloists".
