"Astana and President" photo exhibition kicks off in Astana

ASTANA. July 4. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ Photo exhibition "Astana ad President" organized by the Museum of Modern Art of Astana with the support of the department of culture and Akimat of the city has been opened in Astana today.

Astana and the President are two inseparable symbols of Kazakhstan. The country has consolidated as an independent, sovereign and dynamically developing state within a short period of time and Astana became the heart of the country.

According to the organizers of the exhibition, the prosperity of Astana is prosperity of Kazakhstan. The UNESCO grated the status of "The City of Peace" to Astana in 1999. Today Astana is the youngest capital city of the world and cultural and political center of the country.

About 300 photos reflecting historical chronicles and moments of Astana development are presented at the exhibition. Black and white photos of Akmolinsk dated 1910 are presented at the exhibition as well as bright photographs of last years.

The exhibition will be opened for Astana residents and guests near Baiteker monument within three days.
