Askar Zhakenov appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff of Kazakh Government
By a decree of the Government, Askar Zhakenov has been appointed Deputy Chief of Staff of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Born on September 13, 1975 in Karaganda, Askar Zhakenov is a graduate of Karaganda-based State Technical University and Kainar University.
From 1999 to 2004 he worked at the Ministry of Justice.
From March 2004 to February 2012, he was Deputy Chief of the Legal Affairs Department at the Prime Minister’s Office.
In July 2012, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the Legislation, Defense and Law and Order Department at the Prime Minister’s Office.
In August 2013, he was appointed as Chief of the Control and Documentation Department at the Prime Minister’s Office.
From October 2019, he worked as Deputy Chief of the Prime Minister’s Office.
