Asian vector of Kazakhstan's foreign policy aimed at developing multifaceted cooperation with CA neighbors - MFA
"In his speech, Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Kazykhanov emphasized that the complexity in today's world of transformation processes requires timely and adequate reflection in the approaches of Kazakhstan's diplomacy. Under these conditions, there is increasing value of predictive analytical work as well as an expert platform at the Ministry, capable of generating new ideas and suggestions, recommendations for the implementation of foreign policy and international initiatives of Kazakhstan," Abibullayev said.
The Council was established in line with the Kazakh President's instruction following the Foreign Ministry's board meeting in April 2012. The first sitting of the Foreign Policy Council discussed the conceptual approaches to the development of the Asian vector of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, as well as the importance of further promotion in Asia of Kazakhstan's initiative in the field of security CICA, covering 24 states with a population of more than 3 billion people, its transformation into a full-fledged organization. The need for intercultural and interfaith dialogue with Asian countries, studying their experience of state building was emphasized.
It was noted that the Asian vector of Kazakhstan's foreign policy envisages further development of multifaceted cooperation with our neighbors in Central Asia. This interaction is aimed at promoting the integration process with the prospect of establishing in the future a Union of Central Asian countries proposed by the President of Kazakhstan.
The Council's next sitting is planned to be held in the second halfyear.
