Asian Games gold medalist awarded apartment in Almaty

TALDYKORGAN. KAZINFORM - Mayor of Almaty region Amandyk Batalov has held a meeting with the XVII Asian Games champions - Margarita Yeliseyeva, Zhanibek Alimhanuly, Nurmakhan Tynaliev, Zulfiya Chinshanlo, Anastasia Rodina, Irina Alexandrova, Oksana Shadrina, Symbat Zhamankulova, Lyudmila Sapronova and their coaches.

Members of the national team of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Almaty region, have won three gold, one silver and three bronze medals. The athletes were awarded with cash prizes amounting to KZT 1 million. Margarita Yeliseyeva was awarded a one-room apartment in the city of Almaty. It bears to remind that our athlete performed in the weight category of 48 kg. In the snatch M.Yliseyeva lifted 87 kg and in the clean and jerk she managed to lift 107 kg. In total she scored 194 kg, which allowed her to win the gold medal. Coaches of the medalists were awarded KZT 250 - 500 thousand. Recall that the national team of Kazakhstan ranked 4th in medal standings at Asiad which took place in the Korean Incheon. 35 athletes of the national team represented the Almaty region.
