Asiad 2011: hockey players of Japan beat China, 4-3, in overtime

ALMATY. February 2. KAZINFORM On Tuesday, February 1, the women's national team of Japan scored a victory in the match against the national team of China within the framework of the VII Asian Winter Games. The final score ended up 4-3 in favor of the Japanese in overtime.

During the whole game the struggle was equal. For a long time the both teams could not score targets. Then the 27th minute into the match Qi Xueting (China) scored the first goal. At the end of the 2nd period Sakagami Tomoko (Japan) scored 2 goals in the 31th and 38th minutes. The 5th minute into the 3rd period Zhang Menguing (China) tied the score (2-2).

The 48th minute into the match Chinese Jin Fengling's scored the 3^rd goal. The Japanese scored again a little time before the end of the 3rd period.

The result of the match was with the 3rd goal of Sakagami Tomoko who scored when only 24 seconds left till the end of overtime.

The Japanese team has 5 points on the tournament table. It will play against North Korea on February 3. The Chinese hockey players have also only one game left - on February 3 against the team of Kazakhstan.
