According to the BFA Secretary General Zhou Wenzhong, the rapid growth of Asian countries and emerging economies in recent years is largely due to globalization and the relocation of industrial zones. However, the prospect of global economic recovery remains unclear, emerging markets and most Asian countries lose the dynamics of economic growth and institutional reform dividends disappear. Thus, these countries are now in need of structural reforms in order to identify new drivers for growth. Despite the fact that China, Japan, India and Indonesia are making vigorous efforts to promote new reforms, the next year will be critical for reform s in Asia and in the states with emerging economies.

The annual conference of 2014 for the first time will include a session on economic cooperation in the framework of the Great Silk Road.

In addition BFA has also initiated a new program named "Young observers" in order to help young people to better understand economic and social development of the world and take part in various processes of cooperation. The program will join talented young people from around the globe to participate in the annual conference.

Annual Conference will consist of 60 panel sessions where participants will discuss issues of reform ing , transformation and innovation in various industries.
