ASEAN Committee established in Astana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Diplomatic Missions of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have created their own committee in Astana, this has been stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Idrissov.
"Today I have met with the ambassadors of the ASEAN, the very famous and dynamic structure in the Asia-Pacific region. Kazakhstan has embassies of Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. In accordance with the law of the Organization, they have established the ASEAN Committee, which has been officially unveiled today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs", he said. According to his words, it was agreed that the new structure will facilitate the growth of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the ASEAN.
