ALMATY. August 23. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ According to preliminary estimates around 10, 000 tourists will visit to Kazakhstan during the 7th Winter Asian Games.
President of the Executive Directorate of the Organizing Committee of the 7th Winter Asian Games Anatoly Kulnazarov said it today in Almaty.
Director of the Kazakhstan Tourism Association Rashida Shaikenova said in turn that each tourist spends around USD 2, 000 in the country. She also noted that the majority of tourists would be from Asia.
'All tourists will be provided with housing. Two cities of the country - Astana and Almaty are to provide accommodations and nearby cities are ready to render their assistance as well. Many tourists will likely be willing to live in cottages in wooded area of Shymbulak. Now we are discussing these possibilities', A. Kulnazarov said.
