Arna Media meets Korean colleagues
JoongAng Media Network was founded in 1965 with participation of Samsung concern. It unites 13 magazines, 4 specialized TV channel and internet resources, 5 newspapers, including the leading newspaper JoongAng Ilbo which, according to the Korean guests, is read by every fifth citizen. The average annual turnover of the JMNet group exceeds one billion U.S. dollars .
Yerlan Baizhanov pointed out that the world tendency of unification of the mass media into large groups came by Kazakhstan too. "There are several mass media holdings in Kazakhstan Arna Media is the largest one. It unites mainly the state media resources of Kazakhstan and the National System of TV Broadcasting", he said.
Y.Baizhanov also told about the main priorities of the activity of Arna Media which also strives to introduce the best standards of corporate management and raising the competitive ability of state mass media. "We are interested in the experience of running media business and the experience of the Korean media holding in taking the leading position," he added.
At the meeting the Kazakhstani and Korean colleagues discussed the perspectives of cooperation, particularly internships and training opportunities, exchange of information products and potential joint projects.
