Argentina's A/H1N1 flu deaths reach 386

BUENOS AIRES. August 13. KAZINFORM The Argentine health authorities reported on Wednesday a total of 386 A/H1N1 influenza deaths in the country, based on the provincial health departments' reports; Kazinform has learnt from China View.

The updated figure made the country become the second largest number of fatalities from the A/H1N1 virus in the world, just after the United States, which till Aug. 7 had reported 436 deaths.

The provincial authorities from Rio Negro and San Juan confirmed on Wednesday seven and one deaths respectively.

In Rio Negro, which is in the south of the country, the death toll rose by 17.

The city with the largest number of infections in Rio Negro is San Carlos de Bariloche, where an extraordinary summit of the Union of South American Nations will be held; Kazinform refers to China View.
