Aquatics Center opened in Aktobe

As the Akim said, the year coming to its end was a success for development of sport in Aktobe. More than 40 modern playgrounds have been constructed, there was an opening of a new stadium named "The Aviator" and an equestrian school, and for the fifth time "Aktobe" team became the champion of Kazakhstan's football. The region has successfully implemented the President's instructions to achieve by 2020 the goal to have 30 percent of the population engaged in sports.

The centre has 10 lanes of 50 meters, with depth from 2 to 3 meters. This allows to host international and national championships, tournaments of the city in the following kinds of sports: water polo, diving and synchronized swimming. Pool's workload is 16 hours a day, up to 250 people can work in one shift.

Apart from the pool, in a building there are gyms, a gym for a pre-sports training, men's and women's locker rooms, showers and etc.
