Angular velocity sensors missetting causes «Proton-M» fall

Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Space Agency stressed that the installation of angular velocity sensors in "Proton-M" was an extremely complex operation and requiried strict control.
A. Lopatin reported that the recommencement of "Proton-M" carrier rocket will be possible only after completion of the commission's work to identify the causes of the crash.
"I think that this work will be completed by September. We will do everything to fulfill the annual plan of starts, although it is difficult. It is neccesary for our main institutes and companies of the sector to work out a plan for elimination and prevention of similar events".
NOTE: "Proton-M" carrier rocket together with three "Glonass-M" devices was launched on July 2 from Baikonur cosmodrome's site number 81. Almost immediately after lift-off it sharply deviated from the flight path, began to literally fall apart in the air and exploded, and large fragments fell not far from the starting point.
"Proton-M" Rocket and "Breeze-M" boosters are products of the Khrunichev Space Center.
Manufacturing of "Proton-M", "Glonass-M" three satellites and the rockets' launch had cost the Russian Federation RUB 4.4 billion (rubles).
