ANAMA removes over 10,000 unexploded ordnance and mines in Azerbaijan

BAKU. August 6. KAZINFORM. Azerbaijan National Mine Action agency (ANAMA) demined 2,244,355 square meters of area in July 2009; Kazinform refers to Today.Az.
Total of 425 people, 5 vehicles and about 30 dogs were involved a mine sweep.
A total of 10,560 unexploded ordnances and mines were cleared in July 2009.
As of now, 107, 644, 692 square meters of area was demined and 468,170 mines and unexploded ordnance were removed; Kazinform refers to Today.Az. See www.today.az for full version.
