Among Kostanay rgn governors - 39 women

KOSTANAY. August 8. KAZINFORM - Kostanay regional election commission summed up the final results of the elections held yesterday.
Following the elections there were chosen 245 Akims including 161 Akims for rural districts, 75 for towns, 8 for villages and Akim of Zhitikara town. 156 of the newly elected Akims (63.7%) have held their seats.
Among the voted in governors 206 are men and 39 are women. All the selected mayors have higher education. The average age of the new Akims is 45.5 years.
The procedure of voting was observed by 41 reps of political parties, public associations, agents of candidates and mass media.
