American Airlines flight diverted to Rome after bomb threat
An American Airlines plane flying from New York to New Delhi was diverted to Rome following a bomb scare that forced it to make an emergency landing at Fiumicino airport, Agenzia Nova reported.

According to AirNav radar tracking services, the Boeing 777 of the American company was forced to make an abrupt diversion over the Mediterranean Sea after receiving a warning of the possible presence of an explosive device on board.

Escorted by Eurofighter jets as it approached the airport, it was made to land at Fiumicino at 17.22:XNUMX.
Italian authorities, including the Aeroporti di Roma emergency response team and law enforcement, are on alert and have deployed specialized units to carry out routine checks upon landing of the plane.
