Ambassador Y.Utembayev meets with European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Policy Olli Rehn

BRUSSELS. June 2. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belgium and Luxembourg, Head of Kazakhstan's Mission to the EU and NATO Yerik Utembayev has held a meeting with European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Policy Olli Rehn.
They exchanged opinions on the issue of strengthening of regulatory framework for prevention, management and overcoming financial crises in the future. Taking into account significant investments of the European companies into Kazakhstan's economy (over USD 52 bln) and considering further growth of this index, Ambassador Y.Utembayev noted importance and necessity of development of the joint system of close coordination in conducting monetary policy and financial stability policy.
The Kazakh diplomat invited the European Commissioner to visit Kazakhstan. Olli Rehn expressed interest in visiting Astana for discussion of issues in the field of financial regulation, macro- and microeconomic policy.
