ASTANA. January 26. KAZINFORM. Kazakh Ambassador to Japan Akylbek Kamaldinov read a lecture on Kazakhstan's regional and global security initiatives in Hiroshima; Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA's press service.
The diplomat visited Hiroshima at the invitation of President of Soka Gakkai International Daisaku Ikeda.
The representatives of the local authorities, political parties and prominent public figures attended Mr. Kamaldimov's lecture on Kazakhstan's contribution to strengthening of nonproliferation and disarmament regime. The Kazakh Ambassador told about Kazakhstan's policy of interethnic and interconfessional accord.
The Japanese side appraised the peaceful initiatives proposed by Kazakh President N. Nazarbayev. Besides, Kazakh Ambassador was decorated with a Hiroshima Peace Medal founded by Daisaku Ikeda.
