Ambassador A. Shokybayev presents his credentials to the Emir of Qatar

During the conversation that followed the ceremony Emir of Qatar congratulated Kazakhstan's Ambassador on the beginning of his diplomatic mission and noted the high potential of the Kazakh-Qatari relations. The Emir of Qatar said that his country attaches great importance to the development comprehensive relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is evidenced by his visit to Astana. He fondly recalled the meeting and negotiations with President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The Emir of Qatar conveyed his best wishes to the Kazakh leader. In turn, A.Shokybayev spoke about the successes and achievements of Kazakhstan in political, economic and social spheres and also drew attention to the President's Address "Nurly Zhol - Path to the Future". In addition, the parties discussed strengthening of trade and economic cooperation, participation of Qatar in investment projects in Kazakhstan, and the meeting of the Kazakh-Qatari intergovernmental commission. There has been also discussed Qatar's support Kazakhstan's candidacy for non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council in 2017-2018 and our country's initiative to establish the Islamic organization of food security. In general, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his willingness to deepen bilateral partnership between Kazakhstan and Qatar.
