According to the service-ordered study conducted among students, about 40 percent of the students of institutions of higher learning "are familiar with drugs". "Twenty five percent have tried at least once, seven percent take drugs on occasion, and nine percent take regularly," Ivanov said.

The high rates of drug abuse at higher-learning institutions are due to various reasons, "including high tolerance to drugs among the youth and the low rating of healthy life," he noted.
