Almaty Mayor meets with UAE businessmen delegation

ALMATY. September 21. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ Almaty Mayor Akhmetzhan Yessimov has met with members of a delegation of the United Arab Emirates. The sides discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of economy at the meeting.

Akhmetzhan Yessimov informed the guests of investment opportunities of the city of Almaty which is a financial and economic center of the country. He represented a number of investment projects of the city to the guests and invited them to participate in their implementation.

"Almaty is a financial center of the country, and it conducts 50 percent of all banking transactions, and I am convinced that the city has many investment projects in which you will be interested. If you express a wish to cooperate, we will be ready for closer and more dynamical relationships in the economy field", A.Yessimov said.

The Arab businessmen headed by Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry of H.E. Mohamed Thani Murshed Ghannam Al Rumaithi, in their turn, expressed a wish to cooperate in the field of food, provision of telecommunication services, participation of in projects of the tourism field and in the sphere of financial investments.
