Almaty hosts VIII International Film Festival 'Eurasia'

ALMATY. August 8. KAZINFORM VIII International Film Festival "Eurasia" will be held on September 17-22 in Almaty, members of the organizing committee told a special press conference.
This year, the Film Festival "Eurasia" welcomes the countries of Central Asia, the CIS, the European Union and Asia. Festival program will include international competition of feature films of 2011-2012, the Central Asian panorama, program "Dynamic Kazakh cinema", as well as non-competition programs "Film Bridge East - West: Cinema of Greece and Turkey," "Echo of the Berlin Film Festival," and "Echo of Busan Film Festival."
In order to strengthen relations between producers and distributors of European and Asian countries the festival will host "round tables" on the topics of forming a business platform for the development of film production and promotion of new films.
