Almaty hosts Kazakh-German Investment Trade Forum

The forum participants discuss the state policy of Kazakhstan concerning enhancement of international trade relations, conditions for business dealing in Kazakhstan as well as the issues on further perspective development of cooperation between Germany and Kazakhstan.

According to Deputy Head of the MFA representative office in Almaty Eldar Kunayev Germany is the main trade partner of our country in Europe whereas Kazakhstan is the leading economic partner of Germany in Central Asia.

"Over 500 enterprises have been created in Kazakhstan with participation of the German capital whereas the overall volume of German investments to the economy of Kazakhstan made USD 3.6 bln. About 924 thousand of ethnic German people returned to their native land from Kazakhstan whereas there are 230 thousand German people in Kazakhstan", - he noted.

According to Consul General of Germany in Almaty Gerold Amelung the last year was remarkable due to the Year of Kazakhstan in Germany. "This year Germany has an opportunity to present its country here. A number of events to enhance bilateral relations between our countries to a new high level will take place. The development of further economic relations covers almost all the sectors and branches of the economy, including agriculture, light industry, trade and financial sector", - he noted.
