Almaty and Sberbank of Russia to step up coop

MATY. October 14. KAZINFORM Almaty Mayor Akhmetzhan Yessimov met with visiting president, chairman of the board of Sberbank of Russia German Gref, the Mayor's press service said.
Accoridng to Gref, Sberbank today is the largest credit institution in Russia accounting for 27% of the aggregate Russian banking assets and 26% of banking capital. Besides, Sberbank is taking the lead in promotion of innovation technologies. German Gref expressed readiness to actively implement IT technologies in Kazakhstan.
The Almaty Mayor, in his turn said, that the city is ready to cooperate with Sberbank in various areas. Yessimov told about the ongoing Alatau IT tech park and the industrial zone in Alatau district which will be launched soon. He suggested employing these platforms for further cooperation and implementation of advanced technologies.
In a meeting the parties also debated modern trends in the world economics.
