Almaty actively implements industrial program - Head of State

President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said it at a sitting on the socio-economic development of Almaty.

"Almaty actively implements goals of the industrial program. Growth in the processing industry made 40 percent. The city uses 27 percent of the volumes of production of small and medium business throughout the country. More than 350 thousand people are employed in this sector. But there is still much work to do," the Head of State noted. He added that last year problems of 5,000 home owners were solved. Over 3,000 places in kindergartens were created.

It was outlined that the healthcare establishments are under construction in the city.

"The nominal per capita income of the population in February, 2011 made KZT 88 thousand," the President stressed.
