TANA. August 19. KAZINFORM All 16 deputies who have successfully passed in the Kazakh Senate are members of Nur Otan People's Democratic Party; the Party's press service reports.

Today the Senate elections have been held in Kazakhstan. 16 deputies were elected to the upper house of Parliament.

Commenting preliminary results of the elections, First Deputy Chairman of the Party Nurlan Nigmatulin noted: "Nur Otan as a leading party was widely represented all over the country at the Senate elections. And according to preliminary information of the Central Election Commission, the candidates from our party again won a landslide victory.

This demonstrates a high level of the public support of the strategic course of President, Leader of Nur Otan Party Nursultan Nazarbayev, the course which is aimed at ensuring welfare of our citizens and is the key to further improving the level and quality of life of every Kazakhstani citizen."
