ASTANA. July 30. KAZINFORM Athletes from Kazakhstan won two gold medals at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London during the first two days. Cyclist Alexander Vinokurov gave a flying start to our national team.
According to Khabar news agency, fans from Kazakhstan in London greeted the Kazakhstani cyclist as a hero. Alexander Vinokurov had only five days to recover strength after Tour de France. Very few people believed he could win gold at the 2012 Olympics in London. But, according to cyclist himself, dreams come true.
The right strategy and good luck helped Alexander become the Olympic champion. It was his day, the agency says.
