Alexander Shevchenko reaches Bratislava Open semifinals

Kazakhstan’s No. 2 men’s singles player, Alexander Shevchenko, advanced to the semifinals of the Bratislava Open 2026 clay-court tournament in Slovakia, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
The world No. 97 and top seed overcame Czech player Maxim Mrva, ranked No. 312 in the ATP rankings, in the quarterfinals.
Shevchenko secured a straight-sets victory in 1 hour and 29 minutes, winning 7-6 (11-9) and 6-0.
During the match, the Kazakhstani player fired four aces, committed one double fault, and converted all four of his break-point opportunities.
Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 tennis tournament in London.
