The Tashkent Zoo has been successfully keeping kangaroos for over 20 years. The zoo receives new kangaroos from zoos of Riga (Latvia) and Zlin Lesna (Czech Republic) in order to avoid inbreeding.

The first albino kangaroos were received from the Czech Republic and they bring sibs for many years already, AKI Press reported.

Currently, the Tashkent Zoo has four kangaroos, one of which is gray and other three are albinos. Newborn kangaroo is also white.
