AKTOBE. KAZINFORM "Construction works at the Aktobe rail and beam plant have been completed by 90% so far," Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC vice president Yermek Kizatov told today during a media tour.
It will be commissioned next year. The project worth USD 399 mln is financed mostly through the Kazakhstan Development Bank loan funds. The plant will produce 430,000 tons of rolled stock a year, including 200,000 of railway rails and rolled sections. "This project is of great importance for Kazakhstan. There were only three such plants in the former USSR. This project is realized using modern technologies and standards meeting the EU requirements," he added.
