Aktobe starts construction of Shalkar-Beineu railroad section

AKTOBE. July 3. KAZINFORM Construction of Zhezkazgan-Beineu railway line has been launched Tuesday during TV linkup with participation of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Construction began at six sites of the future rail road at the same time.
"This road is very important for Kazakhstan," said the President. The aim of the project is to create direct flow of goods from Central Kazakhstan and Dostyk station to Western Kazakhstan and then to Europe with transport distances reduced up to 1,200 kilometers. The cost of the project is KZT 260 billion.
